because 1 i saw an episoide where he said no one ever liked him.but then his uncle told him he like him.then goes on trieing to kill him in the end

His uncle was forced to act kind to gaara by his father then to kill him. Later on gaara finds out the truth and gets confused and starts killing people because basically he is nuts xD.Oh and he doesn't kill his uncle he does suicide with bombs. But gaara gets very nice in the parts where the anime is in japan he is currently on and he is one of my favorite characters.You'll learn to like him or at least not think he is crazy.But yeah in the episodes CN is on he looks crazy and very evil.
