Whats the difference between a Tamagotchi V3 and a Tamagotchi V4?

A V3 is older and it doesn't have mail, work or school. A v4 has those things. The antenna is bigger also. The pets are the same. You can still connect the two together. A v4 is newer. Also, tamagotchi town is different for a V4 than a V3. (i love tamas!)

The v4 has a ball on its antennae, and the v4.5 has a well-known man or woman. The v4 can play video games like bounce rope, flag, dance, structure, mimic. usually the better variations are more suitable positive, so i could purchase the v4.5. Or, keep you funds to purchase a v5.
