everyone says i am beautiful but i just don't see it. i don't know whether to believe them or go with how i see myself. if i am so beautiful than why can't i see it?

your avatar looks really pretty, and I'm a complete stranger from the Internet who has nothing to gain by telling you the truth!
ha ha, but seriously,
i would trust them, the reason that people can find it hard to see themselves as beautiful or handsome is because
1. they have a low self-esteem/ lack of confidence in themselves
2. as life goes on, we lose sight of how awesome we all are, and so our subconscious begins to look for things that need improving. because of this, we often see only the negative things about ourselves.
the way to change this is to take the time to look in the mirror and look at all your positive features, or even make a list, but ONLY focus on the positive, you will find your beautiful with some practice, depending on how deep into #1&2 you are.

OMGosh! i had the same problem 2...everyone said "o u look so cute, ur so pretty".. i've NEVER felt that way though. i know 100% what u mean, i really do! all i did was change my makeup, i made sure i didnt say to myself "im so ugly". i thought good thoughts about myself. and u know what, it worked...just changing ur makeup a little bit and ur hair style maybe also, and it works. i still have those days where i dont feel pretty enough. but that really doesnt matter. i hope u will feel better soon! If everyone says that you're pretty I would believe them. Maybe you should ask one of them VERY seriously what they think of your image, because maybe they're just saying what they know you want to hear. But I wouldn't stress about it. It's what is on the inside that counts! Ha, okay that was corny.

i don`t exactly know what you look like. if everyone say it then it`s prolly true that you are beautiful. maybe you can`t see it because your soo uses to yourself . try being more happy with yourself. think positively. if people say your goregous then you should feel lucky. and thankful fa what you got. :D

if you're self conscious, thats the reason. i think it is ok for people to rely on other peoples oppinion, it just helps to reasure you. i think if people tell you that you are beautiful then they must be telling the truth cause no one is going to lie about that.
