Yes. The copyright lasts until 70 years AFTER the author's death, for anything published after 1978.

I believe they do, as I've seen c. 1956, c. 1979, c. 1998, etc. all in the same book. If the author, publishing company, or the estate of the author's renews the copyright, you would need their permission to stage it.

Yes the copyright last until the author dies then another 70 years.
