First of all, discoveries are one in a million. Most famous actors had to struggle for years to get to where they are. The good thing is that you can be a successful actor without being famous. You should want to be an actor because you love acting, not because you want to be famous. Whoopie Goldberg once said, "Anyone who's famous is famouse by accident." Proceed with this in mind. Your concern should be giving the best performance you can give every time you give it.
Now, with that said, the only way to keep working is to keep auditioning. I suggest you go to a search engine and look up auditions in your area. You can even look up casting agencies, but be careful because a lot of so-called "casting agencies" are scams. When you audition, give it your all. If you really are good, people will see that and remember it. While we're on the subject of auditions, I suggest, no matter how good you feel you are, that you check out a book called "Audition" by Michael Shurtleff. It's filled with all sorts of wonderful advice for you to use on auditions and in performance. Also, check out some books about voice and movement, because acting involves every part of your body.
Finally, don't worry so much. You sound pretty young, so you have a lot of time. You're not racing against a clock. Just relax and focus on honing your craft. You'll never stop growing as an actor, so don't limit yourself by thinking that. Keep auditioning, keep reading, and, if this is really and truly what you want, don't give up. From one actor to another, I wish you the best of luck!

Size does not matter for talented people. There are midget actors ans very heavy actors, tall actors, and handicapped actors.
Unfortunately I cannot help you because I am not from New-York. However, I would encourage you to go for auditions with small theatre groups and work hard at improving yourself! You probably have an accent from reading your question, so I believe there must be people that you know who could perhaps point out which direction you might go in order to realize your dream! I am a handicapped person and i belong to a group who perform for the elderly. ( volunteer work ) It is very rewarding. It also gives you opportunities to get to be known and perhaps discovered for the special talent you have whichever it is! It does not matter where you live, it all depends on your motivation and perseverance in being the best you can while getting the experience. You say you are taking acting classes you do not need because you are good. Then you've got to prove it dear heart! Do not be depressed... Just go ahead and do what must be done to get what you want! I doubt you can get what you want from the internet without doing something LIVE so you can be discovered. Very few do it via the web.
Good luck!

If you try hard, and dream big, your dream will come true. Pray for it to. I have wanted to become an actor since i was six years old, and i finally have the chance, this summer, to try to make it big.
As for your weight... look at Raven Symone, or Queen Latifa, or anyone like that. just because they're a little bigger doesn't mean they can't make it in Hollywood. And the Broadway show Hairspray is designed for a big girl.
As long as you feel confident with your weight, you'll be fine. I mean no one wants to be as freakishly skinny as those anorexic stars now a days.
People want healthy, happy role models, not necessarily starving, skinny anorexic ones.

You can be an actor if you want to be. Determine what you would like to do. Are you looking to be in movies, or do you want to be on stage? If you believe that you are good, why do you still take the classes? Based on your question, it sounds like you aren't confident. They need all types of actors. I don't think your weight is the issue. Do some community theater and continue to take classes. You can network with people in your class and you all can encourage each other.

Once an Actor always an Actor. The problem comes with the qualifiers; successful and working.

FIRST of all, don't ever think that just because you are "kind of chubby" that you can't act or that there won't be any roles for you.
SECOND, don't EVER think that you're so good that you don't need to learn more.
What type of actor do you want to be? STAGE &/or SCREEN? They're not the same. You're in NY,.. so you need to deal w/ the EQUITY/SAG issue. You're in one of the best places in the world to learn, but so are thousands of others,..
Don't be obsessed w/ the GOAL,... learn the CRAFT first. Learn it well. Then go for the roles,.. wherever they may be.
