Try Great Expectations by Charles Dickens. It's an excellent book! It is about a poor boy named Pip and all of the interesting (and scary) people he meets in his journeys.

F. Scott Fitzgerald's, "The Great Gatsby." I love it because the author manages to fit in so much in so few pages. There is a movie version, with Mia Farrow, Sam Waterston and Robert Redford. It is about the roaring 20s, and how selfish the very rich can be.
I also love, "The Thornbirds," which is about a young girl's crush on a priest. It is a long book, and was a TV mini-series with Richard Chamberlain and Rachel Ward.

The Chronicles of Narnia. I have a hardback copy that has all seven stories all in one book. The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe is like the 2nd or 3rd book. I can't recall right now.

its called "prom queen". Rlstine is the author. is a scary, twisted, suspensful book i love it.
