First off, I don't agree with gays, however it's there life and I can't make discisions for them.
But I have a question for gays or staright people.
If someone is going to be gay, why do they act like opposite sex? If someone is gay, that means they like the same sex, so why aren't they attractive to the masculine guys, if they are gay men, and femminime women, if they are lesbien. Just doesn't make a whole lot of since to me.
I believe in what I believe in, you believe in what you believe in, however, you try to push your beliefs on me, I will do the same to you,
this question, is not a hate letter, but if you want to make it in one, whatever floats your boat.

what do you care if they dress/look like the opposite sex....your stereotyping here...there are plenty of men that look very masculine and are gay and plenty of women that are very feminine that are lesbian.....
2 humans love each other...don't concern yourself with their lives...think about your own....

It has a social function too. Imagine, if you're a girl and you see an attractive guy, then you know you can check him out because his sexual orientation is compatible with yours. But if you're gay, it isn't very easy to tell who is gay and who is not. So if you're gay, it is easier for you if you can spot the 'flamboyantly' gay person. This actually goes for guys, because if you see a girl who acts like a guy, you might just brush it off and assume that she's a tomboy.
I don't know if it has anything to do with hormones, when the woman has more testosterone and when the man has more estrogen in their systems. Nature vs. Nurture? But I think it's just mannerism. Gay men act feminine for the same reason you may expect girls to giggle and guys to playfully punch each other. It's just the way they act.
Could it be cause-and-effect? Boys who grow up feeling feminine and attracted to pastel colors and fairy tales later on find out in adolescence that they're gay. Then they embrace their newfound identity and let it show more openly. Some gay men try to cover it up though, and others may even get married and father children.
Just my two cents :)

You're taking an entire spectrum of people and singling out a very small portion.
Some straight women love "emo' and "metrosexual" guys and some straight guys love athletic and tough girls. It's just a preference. They are still their own gender, they just don't fit into the mold that you have designed in your mind for them.
When you say that gay people act like the opposite sex, it's because you're only noticing THOSE gay peope. There are tons more that you would never suspect because you're too busy looking for stereotypes.
Like venus mantrap says, sometimes they are just doing it to piss off the ignorant. And sometimes they are doing it because its fun and since they don't feel bogged down by gender guidelines, why not?

Some do. Some don't. On one end of the spectrum you have a drag queen; on the other end you have John Amaechi.
And a man behaving in a feminine manner isn't "pushing his beliefs" on you.

Speaking as a gay guy, I can't speak for other people, but the reason why some of us act flamboyant is because we know that it pisses a lot of straight people off. And by pissing straight ppl off, it's sort of getting revenge for all the sh!t we had to go through growing up, etc. Do you have any idea what its like to get beaten up and pushed against lockers in school several times a week?? Or finding a USED condom in your backpack that someone has put in it with the word "******" written on it w/ marker???
I didn't throw my gayness in their faces because I wasn't out in high school; but yet, I had to experience all of that and then some. In a way, by acting overtly flamboyant, we're keeping bigoted and hateful straight ppl away from us, cuz no straight homophobe wants to be near a f@g.
In a way, we're basically protecting ourselves and hurting you before you can hurt us. We're throwing our gayness in your face, because we've had your straightness thrown in ours everyday of our lives, whether you realize it or not.
When I hear you talking about your spouse or the great guy you went out with last night (if your a girl), then you're throwing your straightness in my face. When you tell us we're sinful, evil perverts, you're sure as hell throwing your straightness and your lifestyle, not to mention your beliefs, in our faces. If straight guys can talk and brag about the hot girls they want to have sex with, then why can't I do the same as a gay guy?
We're just giving the straight world back what it has given us for thousands of years. But at the end of the day, with all due respect, I really don't give a flying f*ck what you or anybody else thinks of me. I have my rights and I'm going to milk them for all their worth, whether you like it or not.
I believe in God, but I also believe that it is only He who I will answer to in the next life. I don't have to justify myself to the likes of Pat Robertson, Jerry Falwell, or any other homophobic prick. I'm not asking you to accept my lifestyle or "tolerate" me; as a matter of fact, I don't give a rat's @ss if you find me repulsive or disgusting.
But I do have a problem when people try to worm their personal religious beliefs into civic laws that directly affect me, and I sure as hell won't tolerate that.

I don't follow your question here....and I've gotta say...I've known alot of gay men and women and not one of them has ever tried to "push" their beliefs on me.
The know better than most straight people that being gay isn't a choice...its they way they were born.
I think people should stop worrying about who's gay and who's not gay....it doesn't really matter....unless your looking for a significant other...then I guess its good to know.

Because the natural relationship has a masculine partner and a feminine partner. The masculine is supposed to be the man and the feminine is supposed to be a woman. Gays are trying to synthetically create this and that is why they do it. Its okay for men to love eachother, just not sexually.

I've often wondered that myself. Actually, it's kinda funny and makes me laugh when I see a gay guy act all "tinkerbellish"(that's what I call it).

I suppose everyone has a "type". Some straight women like manly men, and some like more "sensitive" types. Just like some straight men like fru-fru-frilly girls, and some prefer the athletic type. It's a question of personal taste.
