i i have to go to a close friend's professional graduation ceremony..(dental school)..what do i wear? its indoors and in the afternoon

Graduating from dental school is a big deal. Although it will not be a formal setting, certainly you will be expected to dress "up". Forget the skirt and blouse and go with a simple dress, or an upscale pant-suit. It is always important what you put on your feet!!! You want to be comfy, but something sleek, with a 2" or more heal will make anthing your wear look more sophisticate. I am sure the men will be expected to wear at least at tie. They could get away with a blazer too, but they can never go wrong with a suit. If it counts for anything, I live in Manhattan and these are the rules that would be followed here. Have fun! I love parties!

Hmm.
You should probably wear a blouse & a skirt or nice dress pants.
Look casual but in a dressy way, don't just come wearing a tee & jeans. That wouldn't be nice. Wear something you would wear at a fancy occasion but lower the fancy down a smidge!!

well, if it's this spring, put on a nice sundress and flats. the dress will look nice, but wearing flats iwll dress it down a bit. if it is dressier, you can't go wrong with a pair of khakis or dress slacks and a blazer. tell your friend congrats!

a pink fluffy dress if ur girly. if ur punk or tom boy, wear more of a jeans with a cute tee. if u don't wanna wear that then just wear a nice skull headband, skull scarf, indie shirt, and dark jeans.

well u could wear something semi formal, like wear a nice top and neclace and pair it with jeans or some nice dress pants or skirt..

I would go with a more casual dress.Maybe even a summer/spring dress.
