Hi fui,
Sony's Vaiyo (spelling) looks nice but the MacBook Pro is so much better. I love the design but the Mac OS X is the big selling point. It works great, no viruses, multitasks. Well you don't want me to give you the big long list again.
Go to a local Mac dealer and give the mac a little hands-on try for yourself. You'll see why most Mac users are so fanatical. Best of luck to you on your final decision.

I looked at all of those and more and the best one hands down is HP.
Compare the prices and quality and hp totally blows them away.
HP has to give you a better deal as their stock on the stock market wasn't doing too good.
I got an hp pavillion 9000z and check out what it has.
2 gigs memory
Vista home premium
DVD Player
not 14 inch, not 15inch not 16 but 17 inch screen
Check out the hp pavillion they have many different models.
Also many laptops have Intel chips or AMD so if you are not going to do any gaming get Intel but if you run graphic rich programs or gaming, multimedia, get AMD CPU inside if not then just get INTEL CPU inside.
HOwever you can go even 1 better and get duo core! Its like having 2 engines in a car and it makes your computer fly.
I got the duo core AMD and I have had it for 2 months now and I absolutely love it. Its the computer I always wanted and I have had lots of computers.
If you are reading reviews on computers be careful as many of them reviewing are just companies that review it for 1 day. Only trust reviews from actual users that have BOUGHT the laptop not just their opinion.
WHen folks dish out the money they'll be honest with you and tell you all the good or bad. WIth hp I haven't had anything but an awesome experience and oh, they even have an online chat so after you buy it if you have questions you can Instantly talk to a support tech FREE online at their site.
Good luck on your search but I'm an hp loyal customer now for life :-)

HP is definitely the best route to go. They offer the best computers, my husband and I both have HP laptops. We have a Dell desktop and it is a piece of crap most of the time. =)
