no, but it is a good sign that there is a baby. A lot of women have morning sickness, and some have afternoon, night and all day sickness. It is just a wonderful part of being pregnant. Eating the right foods and taking vitamins is a great way to have a healthy baby. Good luck and congratulations

Morning sickness is just a side effect of your hormones. It gives no inclination to the health of your baby. Only a sonagram will show that. I never had morning sickness and had a very healthy full term baby boy, my sister had sickness every day of her pregnancy almost and had a healthy baby girl. It just all depends on the person. Good luck wtih a happy and healthy 9 months!!

Yep, it is a sign of a healthy pregnancy. The morning sickness is from your hormones being in overdrive. These hormones coursing through your body are the hormones needed to transform your body into a baby carrying mommy. It's when morning sickness gets bad that there's ever a problem. You could be so sick for so long that you start becoming malnourished.

I have read that it is your hormones rising and the more hcg that is in your system the better you pregnancy is progressing. That said some people go on to have a heathy pregnancy without morning sickness. I have also heard that it is the same hormone that prevents miscarriage that makes you have morning sickness but that may not be true.

well, my wife has been fortunate enough to not have any morning sickness at all (I know, amazing!) and our lil one is a perfectly healthy 17 week old fetus :) But her dr says that 75% of women experience morning sickness. It's perfectly normal. As for the healthy baby, you'll have to confirm that with your dr. through the normal checkups and ultrasounds. I know it's tough, but it won't last forever. Good luck!

I have read that if you have morning sickness then you are less likely to have a misscarriage. I dont know if it means a healthier baby though.

It is a sign that your hormones levels are rising. Which in turn can be a viable pregnancy. That does not indicate baby's health.

Dr.s have told me that the higher the HCG climbs, the more nauseated you get and the healthier the pregnancy is.
