It is very difficult for me, at 42, to watch the video "9/11" made by the two French brothers who were making a documentary about firemen and happened to film it all live. (It contains the only pictures...video...in existence of the first plane hitting the first tower.) Very difficult, even though I own a copy, and watched it live when it happened, and was already 36 then. It has a lot of bad language in it, because the firemen cuss a lot anyway and they were very stressed that day obviously.

If your son can handle that, it's a good one.

Also "DC 9/11", a docudrama about how the President (played by Timothy Bottoms) and staff dealt with things as they happened.

Please don't get sucked into "Fahrenheit 9/11"...or if you must, then see "FahrenHype 9/11" (hosted by Ron Silver) immediately afterwards.

I've seen the Flight 93 movie; the language warning applies. I haven't seen the Oliver Stone 9/11 movie but I hear it's good.

Go to your local Barnes & Nobel Bookstore. They have all kinds
of books on September, 11. The best two I found were September Remembered then there was the one titled Portraits.
That one had a picture of all the victims and what their lives were like before that coward had some idiots do his work. There are some pictures I won't show my kids yet but, just a matter of time.

Book wise I can't help you but there are some great shows on discovery time channel and the discovery channel. I have learned more from some of those show then just watching the events unfold that fateful day. You should be very proud of your son it is a very important event in american history and I feel too many people have forgotten about it
