is it flirting if girls touch your chest when they talk to you? i do it out of habit and it doesn't mean anything, but all my friends say that they think i'm into them when i do it...

I would certainly take it that way. You girls have these special little ways of letting us guys know you are interested in us without necessarily coming on like a cheap whore. Things like moving in close enough to let us smell your perfume, flashing a bright smile, a quick glancing bit of eye contact, a gentle touch of the hand (especially on my bicep, chest or abs) these things send all the right signals to a guy while still allowing a girl to maintaining her lady like dignity. The bottom line is, a girl that has the confidence to know what she likes and how to get it can be especially alluring!!!
If, on the other hand, you don't intend for it to be flirting, you need to change your behavior and keep your hands to yourself because you are sending all the wrong signals if you just want to remain friends. If that's the case, then you just come across like a tease....and there is nothing admirable about a tease.

Whenever a gal touches me at all, like on the arm, or picks a piece of lint off my shirt, that's the impression I get.
