What does 'Hold on now' means, does it makes sense in english language?

It means: Wait now or Be patient

When someone says, "Hold on now" they are asking the person to wait a minute. It is also used as a way to express unbelief or as a way to show one is not in agreement with something someone else is saying.

yes it down unless its a phrase than idont know what it means but if not then its like if u r saving osmeone in the water and u need a rope and u tell them to wait so u r like hold on now... lemme gete the rope or u can be like HOLD ON, NOW ! if u want htem to hold on the rope rite then
