Currently, the best player on the Wild is Marion Gaborik. He is the most skilled player on the club and the biggest factor in whether the Wild win is whether he is in the lineup that night. Brian Rolston is a fairly close 2nd.
Gaborik would also be the greatest player of all time in the short history of the Minnesota Wild, for his career contributions.
For my money, the best player ever to wear a Minnesota Wild jersey would be Cliff Ronning (1137 games, 869 points) but he was not with Minnesota for long and his time with the Wild was not a significant part of his career.

I'm a wild freak and here how i see it...
1. Marian Gaborik...when he is not hurt
2. Brian Rolston
3. Manny Fernandez
4. Pierre Marc Bouchard (he hasn't lived up to his first round pick though)
You can't really say of all time because the keep the team together and they have only been in existance for about 6 seasons...

If I had to pick a best player ever, I agree with the other individuals who have responded by saying Marian Gaborik.
But my pick for their best player currently is Pavol Demitra. That guy can shoot a puck through the eye of a needle to score goals, or so it seems. He is also fairly tough defensively, so one has to credit Joel Quenneville, his former coach in St. Louis for that.

Gaborik and Rolston (its tough to choose between those 2) i also think that Burns is going to become a key player. He's getting better game after game!

Brian Rolston, he's the most consistent player on the Wild now and in the past.

It really depends on your definition of "best".
If there was an expansion draft, and I got to pluck any player from the team, it would NOT be Gaborik.
Obviously he is way to fragile. Bad thing for an offensive forward. Really kills your "bang for the buck".
Also, his contract hold outs take him down a notch in the reputation department, too. Cry babies who get hurt a lot just don't appeal to many teams these days. especially at the prices they command.

Brian Rolston. He is a complete player who is reliable in all three zones. Gaborik hasn't stayed healthy enough in his career to really show me he is a true star.
