I was thinking of purchasing it, but it seems to be the same exact thing as the Sims 2. Anyone know how the two are different? Thanks!

Life Stories Is NOT an expansion pack of Sims 2, it's a stand alone game.
Life Stories is a game where you have to play out the lives of certain sims via a story. You progress in the story by completing challenges. It's different from The Sims 2 because it's not open ended gameplay like TS2. Also, it's designed for those who have never played Sims games but want to try them out, and for those who have a laptop that can't handle the graphics of TS2. Life Stories does not require a graphics card for play.
