Not sure were your leading with that question, but if i'm interpetation it right your asking about how assertiveness plays a role in our day to day interactions. This depends because not every situation results in conflict, or should result in conflict. Assertiveness can be use to promote your own opioin with in the conflict. As far as hostility and equality being agression, I'm feeling that your comparing apples and potatoes really. Aggression is pretty animalistic term and is even used to describe animal behavior. While hostility and equality are words given to describe human behavior because were so much more influenced by our own symbols that we interact on a level that most animals couldn't enjoy. So maybe your asking if those traits are the same as aggression? I would venture to say that yes hostility is a form of human aggression, I wouldn't give the same to equality. Ether way might be better off restating the question a little bit more specifically.
