Why do young women use the word "like" every other word?

It's really painful to listen to women under 35.

I'm going to make you my god. I was thinking the same thing the other day. I was watching the real word and I swore that the next time I watch it, I was going to count how many times they use that word. The sad thing about it is that the guys are using it almost as much as the girls to. Its contagious. If you meet someone like that, GET AWAY FAST! RUN!!!! "So um like, I was going to tell you like that the other day like I went to the store and she was like there and like I didnt know what to do, so I like hide..."

and these teens were, like, in the next booth
and talking, like, about school, and how they, like, didn't
appreciate their, like , teachers

and in 5 minutes we had 100 likes

We wanted to come back to Florida quicker

well sometimes they dont relize kinda like hwen u are saying "right" you use it alot of itmes if u are explaining something to someone

You're so right. It is painful.
Similarly, young people who say "go" or "goes" instead of "said".

"I go 'what are you doing?' and he goes 'Well, I'm trying to fix this', so I go 'can I help?' and he goes 'I can manage' ".
