Will I ever be able to box and punch bags with my hands or be able to get in shape and lift weights. What are some things I can do now that I cant train with both arms- like exercises or a sport/

You have to wait and see how the bone heals. If it heals fine, then you should be able to box again after proper rehab. If you intend to box again, better have the plate removed. For the meantime just squeeze a tennis ball with your operated hand.

You should ask the doctor that put the metal plate what your limitations are. See if he would suggest therapy. II assume you have been involved in sports a long time. Don't give up.

Yeah, I have the same thing, just make sure you rehab it well, mine is a little weak...
