Ah, memories. That happened to me around 8PM when I was 41 wks. Just a few hours after the "bloody show," I began experiencing very mild mentrual like cramps (barely noticeable). Turns out that was the start of my labor. I went to bed, woke up the next morning and the cramps were a little more intense. I went in for a scheduled induction, they hooked me up to a fetal monitoring device and sure enough, I was in labor. I wasn't fully dilated until around 10PM that night (more than 24 hours after the "bloody show").
It varies for everyone, though. I did call the doctor's after the "bloody show," and I bled a little bit more that night but they assured me that it was normal. Definitely give your doctor's office a call.

I'm sorry that I can't answer your question, but I'd like to actually ask you a question. Can you email me and tell me how a nurse massages your cervix? I'm pregnant, only 9 weeks. I've never heard of this before? It sounds violating, to tell you the truth, so I hope it's not.

At 3 cm and 70% you are very close but it may not be tonight. General rule of thumb, once you start losing the mucus plug, labor starts within 24-48 hours. You could go tonight or wait another week. I'd make sure your bags are packed and ready to go though!

Eek! Massaged your cervix? That sounds like torture to me!

Anyway, I always lose a little blood after an internal exam, whether I'm pregnant or not. I'd wait and see whether or not you start having contractions.

You could always have sex, that's supposed to help! (I'm sure you feel real sexy right now. Hahaha....)

Good luck!!
