The Acadians were expelled from Acadia (which was renamed Nova Scotia by the British) following the French and Indian War, when France lost Canada.

They went to Louisiana because they had no desire to live under the British. In so doing, they developed a unique subculture of their own, and so enriched American heritage, I "gay-ron-tee!"

I think the British made them move, during the colonalization of canada.

I believe it's because the british told them that they either had to become british, ex: eat crumpets speak british drink tea ect.. or else high tail it out of their. which most of them did.
