I have had mine done. It was not numb, but I did have a Slurpee waiting for me. It hurt a little. The part that hurt most for me was actually putting the rod in, after the hole was made. I think biting my tongue hurts more than the piercing. I did not have to go back to change rods, unless they changed the way they do it now. After about 3 months I started buying different ones and changing it myself. It is the next few days that are hardest because your tongue is a little swollen and it makes it difficult to talk right and eat. good luck. go for it! PS. do not eat any hoagies or have oral sex the first week!!!

It hurts like hell and your tounge swells for a week. You have to use a antiseptic mouth wash for at least a month for several times a day. Then you have to go back and get a smaller rod put in.

But I think it was worth it.

Have a really good talk with the person that is going to peirce it at the palour. They will give you all the advice your looking for. DO NOT do it yourself. You might sever a nerve and loose your tounge!

I've wanted mine pierced for awhile but I haven't gotten around to it. I don't think they always numb your tongue my friend got hers done by her friend and she said it didn't hurt that much.

I went with a friend to get hers pierced...It was quick and she said extremely painful. Very thick tears came out...it hurt like heck. I would never do it after watching that...

Just do me a favor. When you have the stud put in place, try to refrain from playing with it between your teeth? Most importantly when hoping I will hire you? Thanks. Because I won't if you do that...makes me wonder how badly you're messing up your tooth enamel.
