How did Russia's withdrawal affect World War I?

It let the Germans and Austro-Hungarians move their forces to the Western front because there was nobody left in the East to fight. Didn't help much in the end though as the they lost the war just over a year later.

It freed up German forces to fight on the western front.
That is to fight againts the French/British/Americans.
