i know i posted this already, but i had a decieving typo in it and the edit button wasn't working. this is what i meant:
i have an old dsl modem from when dsl first came out. when i look under network connections in my control panel folder, it tells me a have a 10 megabit/second connection, but i only dowload stuff at 42 (ish) kilobytes/second. either my modem maxes out at like 250 mbps or i need a new package from my provider. any help?

severe priced Sir, regrettably you should in simple terms use the modems provided via the ATT SBC Yahoo corporation. they gained't help diverse modems in any different case and that they'll ought to choose to examine in a serial huge form as quickly as you particularly turn on the modem on your account and DSL sign. supply them a decision and ask for a much better clever and swifter DSL kit somewhat on condition that that's what's particularly the limiter of your upstream and downstream speeds now not the modem. form Regards, Ben
