I am so frustrated today. I got my cell phone bill and it has almost doubled. I called the company to find out why and they told me that I called in and requested that they remove my text/picture message bundle. I never removed it and why would I when I use that feature a lot? I was charged for all of my text and picture messages sent and received. I tried to explain to them that I never called to request this but they refused to listen to me and told me I must pay this balance. I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place because I'm still under a contract (over a year remaining). I'm LIVID!!! I spoke with three managers and they all said there is nothing they are willing to do about it so basically I have to bite it!! Have you noticed customer service has basically gone to he**?

Amazingly-Thanks, I actually got a corporate fax number today but I need a few drinks (and I'm not a drinker) before I write it because I'm so frustrated and I don't want it to come across as rude when I write my letter so I'll wait til morning when I've calmed down a bit.

Yes, I have noticed. It is because education has gone to he**. Too many chiefs and not enough people being allowed to teach! I am seeing the future everyday and I'm very afraid.
In the meantime, protest this bill. You haven't made a single complaint yet. Until you draft a letter and send it to the billing and corporate offices, nobody has spoken to you. Do you understand? The pen is mighty!
In your letter include your account number, a copy of the recent bill and state the nature of the problem. Ask for remedy (a refund, areturn to your original plan and a block on changing features without a pin number attached to an Internet site or in writing,) carbon copy your local State's Attorney's Office. That always gets results. The State's Attorney will write them a letter asking them to rectify the situation. They always do!
You may have to pay first to avoid penalties and late fees, but do pursue this. Do not pay for what you don't get or didn't ask to get.
Good luck.

I have t-mobile and they are always nice, thanking me for being apart of their family. And when I was getting text from someone as a prank they gave me 20 free text because of the inconvinience.. Whenever I call with a problem the first thing they say to me is, I can understand your frustration and I will do eveything to help.
Also, I don't know you but I have learned from the past that approaching people with kindness when you have a problem brings you a lot further than approaching it agressively. I work in customer service and if someone comes at me with an attitude I won't go out of my way to help them, because they are attacking me when it was never 'my fault' but the company's fault. If someone approaches me with kindness, even if they are frustrated or pissed off, as long as they do not blame or scream at me, then I will try my best to solve the problem.. I am not saying you were aggressive, I am just trying to figure out what went wrong. Then again, there are many places with bad customer service..

Do you have Sprint??? They have been doing that to me lately. My bills are sometimes even triple and then I am over my spending limit and it gets shut off. I work daylight and my night and weekends start at 7. It should never be that much. I got charged double for going over my minutes when the phone was turned off for a month and I obviously did not use any minutes. I want out of my contract NOW!!!!

i absolutely dnt blame u, people are rude, never available... people now a days do their job just to get paid and thats just really sad, people dnt like to do things for each other anymore. if only it was like it was in the past were customer service was really about helping people find what they need... like u go to defferent random places and u got new comers who dnt anything about ur questions because their not trained right. i absolutely agree with u

It sounds to me like you are with Cingular. Switch to Verizon as soon as you can. Even if you have to pay to end your contract early it may cost you less in the long run if they are going to treat you like this. Verizon generally costs a little more but ever since I switched to them (3 years ago) I have been amazed at the wonderful customer service.

Be a good consumer and tell us the name of your cell phone provider so we can avoid them. Then call again and tell them about your question on Answers and let them read the answers you get.
Don't forget to give them the complete URL
