iTunes and then drag the song into the ipod.

You probably have it set to manual update in iTunes. This makes it so that you have to drag and drop songs onto the little iPod picture under devices on the left side.

You can switch it to Auto Update where it will automatically update any new songs in your library. This is easier when dealing with songs, but with videos you might need to sync it instead.

Plug that little white cord into the ipod at the bottom.

stick the usb end into your computer

bring up iTunes

click a song, drag it onto the little ipod icon
