In a brown bag lunch, that won't spoil? I got bullied into a twice/week volunteer program, that requires work outside in the heat. I don't want to lug a cooler around, but need to bring my own lunch. I don't cook either, so I have no leftovers. Anything other than peanut butter? Please help!!!

You could get some of those little tuna kits that come with the crackers and mayo and you just mix it together right before you eat it. It doesn't need to be refrigerated.

You could also freeze a bottle of water and put that in your bag, then it would keep some foods cold enough til lunch. You could try some cut-up fresh fruit, or maybe some kind of mixed veggie salad with some sort of Italian dressing on it.

If you freeze your beverage, it will keep your lunch chilled for hours. By lunchtime, it will have thawed so that you can drink it. Your sandwich will be better if you assemble it at the last minute - wrap the bread and fillings separately.

I believe that anything w/ mayo is good. It acts as a preservative.
