I'm trying to hem my jeans, but i'm sure I need a stronger thread than what I've got. What kind am I supposed to use?

just plain old cotton thread from the craft store. Also, be sure that you pre-wash the jeans before you start cutting them to make sure they have shrunk all that they will do. Otherwise, if you hem them they could be 1/4" to 1/2" shorter than you want them.
