this probably does not count ..., but my daughter had a play kitchen when she was almost 2 yrs old. Well one weekend my daughter spent the weekend with the grandparents. Grandpa loves to cook.
Daughter came home and was "cooking" in her kitchen. All the sudden she started swearing like a sailor. I asked her what she was
doing and she said she was cooking like grandpa.
Had to call grandpa and let him know.
Best cooking story I have.

I like Morgain's story! That's funny!
My husband put cinnamon rolls in the oven and fell asleep. When I came over the next morning, I found them as black lumps on the pan.
My friend and I were baking cookies. She used a kitchen towel as a hot glove, and caught the towel on fire.
Really, these aren't that funny. More of a reason to be thankful the house didn't burn down.

Once I decided to make a homeade chocolate angel food cake to take to a work potluck. I separated 17 eggs and poured the batter into a perfectly greased angel food cake pan. Lucsious chocolate aroma filled the kitchen and when the cake was done, I opened the oven and took it out. It was goregous! (It was also 1 1/2 hours before the party). The recipe said to invert it and cool over a ketchup bottle, which I had at the ready. I inverted, and then....ackkkk!!!!! my precious chocolate angel food cake fell right out of the pan and went all over the counter. You aren't supposed to grease the pan!!!!
I had to do something, so I let the cake pieces cool. Then I layered them in a large bowl with whipped cream in between the layers of cake. I topped the whole bowl with a layer of whipped cream and brought it to the party. It was a hit! People even asked me for my recipe!

I love to cook for people....I remember one New Years Eve, after a late night of drinking and strip poker...my friends and I were starving, and at 4am, we decided to go to my house and I'd make some pancakes. I had a box of Bisquick, and made some pancakes and we ate them all up. Next afternoon, I got up and saw what I had done, and was completely baffled...I hadn't put anything in the mix but water...I had no eggs, oil or anything, just water. Next weekend the guys showed up for more pancakes...they said they had been so good and they wanted me to make some more....I couldn't stop laughing, it's amazing what's good when your drunk...or should I say what you'll eat.
