my car is all mess up now, the towing away....I don't have car now....so do I need to contact DMV?

If your car is declared a total loss, then your insurance company will take possession of the title and handle the DMV as far as removing it from their rolls. If it isn't insured and you're junking it, then the company you sell it to will take care of the title, though you probably should make sure they did so.

Report the accident to the local police and to your insurance company. Exchange contact information with other people involved in the accident.
