We are having an argument at the house... what is a healthier option overall.... chinese vs. traditional fast food (i.e. Mc. D's, Wendy's, etc)

blah,

One is about as bad as the other.

You might be able to get away with some steamed dishes at the Chinese place...but the deep-fried stuff isn't much better than the stuff that's boiled in fat everywhere else.

Oh...I thought I would add that Chinese folk rarely eat the crap on the menu...they'll order something authentic "off menu."

Most chinese foods would be healthier than all fast foods like McDonalds or Wendys, but some chinese foods without their heavy sauses would actually be really healthy.

Fast foods give harm to body. It just fills the stomach but never gives energy to the body. I suggest that chinese foods are healthier when compared to fast foods. But the main thing is, it must be deeply boiled or fried. I had delicious chinese recipes in Hotel New Elgin and Tulip Sahara. Grand service and good hospitality. Check out the link to know about the different types of hotels. I am sure you will like it.

Chinese food is healthier than fast food. Fast food has too many calories in it, and it's not that healthy. It's good to eat it once in a while, but chinese food is healthier than fast food.

Depends on what you order. If you choose a salad and low fat dressing, then fast food is healthier. Usually the only healthy thing at a chinese restaurant is steamed veggies. The veggies cooked any other way tend to have a lot of gravy.

Chinese as long as you stay away from the sweet sauces, heavy sauces, deep fried, and not alot of rice. So fill up on the veggie stir fries, the soups, ribs but find with little fat. The egg rolls are out and all the other fried stuff. All fast food sucks as far as any health is concerned. High in fat and low in nutritional value. But there are chicken wraps at McDonalds. So pick carefully as it can sure pack on the pounds. The problem with fast food its fast satisfaction. But long frustration while you pack on the weight. :-(

Chinese food is good if you don't get a lot of fried food. That's how they all stay so skinny! McDonald's and the like I find to be disgusting anyhow so I avoid them but if you can find a more expensive fast food restaurant like Arby's or something, they're food is a lot healthier than McDonald's.

Even the greesiest Chinese food is far healthier than Mcie Dees. The oils, the meats, and veggies that have actual nutritional value as opposed to the iceberg lettuce you get at most fast food places.
