I've been having nose bleeds (the air is very dry right now) so, I started putting Vaseline in my nostrils. Tonight I noticed my right nostril has 2 holes, or something hard in the middle of my nose.

The link below is my drawing of what I think it would look like, kind of.

I know this sounds ridiculous, but does anyone know what's going on?!?!!? There doesn't appear to be anything stuck in my nose.

THE DOCTOR IS THE ONE THAT TOLD ME TO USE THE VASELINE!

also, I have no idea if it's always been like this or not.

The nose is a area that carries staph. It is common for people to get staph infection in their nose which could be what you have. The best way to treat this is oral antibiotics. You can call your doctor for this. Another common bacteria is MRSA which is a certain staph that is resistant against many antibiotics. I once had MRSA and experienced the same symptoms as you.

Doesn't sound like anything to worry about, could even be the normal internal structure of your nostril, or a possible swollen hair follicle, maybe caused by the Vaseline. Hope this helps.

the lining of your nose probably was scratched from dried mucus and now (the small cut) keeps opening causing nosebleeds. you can put a very small dab of neosporin over it and that should help it heal. it would also help to use a mist machine or vaporizer in your house, and nasal saline would also help hydrate the membranes, along with drinking several glasses of water a day. also, it would be smart to take a check of your blood pressure and make sure it is not high. it does take awhile for the nasal membranes to heal, but if it is more than a week i would give the doctor a call.

Inhale SALINE --a water and salt mixture. You can buy it a t Walmart or a lot of other places. The drawing resembles a "Big Booger" stuck in there. The Saline will soften it up and it will come out soon. Good luck! ♥
