Well, all fears are either rational or irrational. A rational fear is something that is realistic, like worrying if you're going to pay your bills on time or your children getting injured. An irrational fear is any kind of scared emotion elicited from any kind of ordinary or random object. If you have the kind of fear where everything scares you, it's called Panophobia or Pantophobia- Fear of everything. Worrying is just another word for anxiety which can mean a variety of things. Are you stressed about something? Are you depressed? All kinds of web sites are availiable to you. My personal favorite is www.goaskalice.com. It has just about every question and answer on this site and I, personally find it very informative. I hope this has helped you at all.

I have the same problem-- it is called anxiety... I worry way too much. I wake up everymorning at 5 regardless of what time I go to bed at night with a pit in my stomach and an uncomfortable feeling because I am worrying about whatever is going on in my life.
Recently I bought a book that describes how to transform your anxiety, it's called "Transforming Anxiety" and so far it has been helpful. What I never realized was that the way I felt was not because of any outside source or anything happening externally in my life, it was because I would think of worst-case senerios and worry myself to the point of a panic attack. Now that I am aware that when I worry I become anxious, I try and tell myself that I can't worry about something that has not happend yet and may never happen. Even things that are going on that I think is bad is nothing that will kill me, only make me stronger. I hope this helps you, maybe you feel different.. just understand that you can overcome anything..

Well, scientifically a fear is called a phobia. I'm not sure what that kind of phobia is, but that is what it is called. Anyway, I don't want this to come out sounding rude, but maybe you should see a therapist if you don't already. If it is as serious as you say, then that's probably what you should do. And don't feel bad about it. I actually see a therapist, and it really helps. The sessions are almost ending because it has helped so much. Good luck!

I'm not sure which one you have exactly - my guess would be some serious anxiety and one or more phobias. This website: http://phobialist.com/ has a list of all different kinds of phobias, so you can go down the list and decide for yourself what you have!
You might consider going to a professional for these problems?

I know that one. It's partly anxiety. I have it horribly...I think the other appropriate term is "Manic Phobic." Go see a psychologist and they can diagnose all of your problems.
