I have found out where the info came from saying she was dead. The National Examiner. I am so angry. Title says "Shirley Temples Tragic Last Days". Inside it reads that she has high blood pressure and diebetis. Doent want to do anything. Well she lost her husband of over 50 years ago in 2005. I would not be very spunky at the age of 78 either. I am hoping some of you Shirley fans will join me in writing the Examiner and complain.
Even tho I am a big fan, I still dont know everything. I was addressing this to those who said "if you are a fan you would know first". If they had a brain and a heart they would of known not to be so mean. Valerie once again i hit thumbs down on mistake.

As far as I know, Shirley Temple is still alive.
Don't read the tabloids. They put stuff on the front pages to get people to buy.
Just to be sure, Google "Shirley Temple" and check out the legit sites on biographies. That should give you the correct answer.

no - In 2001, she served as a consultant on the ABC Television Network production of Child Star: The Shirley Temple Story, based on part one of her autobiography.
In 2004, she teamed with Legend Films to restore, colorize and release her earliest black and white films, as well as episodes of her 1960 television series, The Shirley Temple Storybook Collection.
Screen Actors Guild (SAG) announced on September 12, 2005, that she was to receive the Guild’s most prestigious honor, the Lifetime Achievement Award. SAG President Melissa Gilbert said:

She is alive still just like Ricardo Moltalban!
The National Examiner is not meant to be a serious paper. It always lists crazy stories that are purely for entertainment purposes.
Writing them doesn't work because their tiny fine print disclaimers state that it's all meant to be entertainment only - so they can make stuff up and it's okay.
