Depending on the compression of the file, and the length of the songs, somewhere between 100 and 160. Not very precise of a number, I know, but there is a big difference in a 3 minute song at 128 kBps or a 5 minute song at 192 kBps.
Sony says 100 songs for its 512mB MP3 player, Apple says 120, another maker says 160. So it all depends on the variables I mentioned.

It does depend on length and format and compression, but an average mp3 is probably 3-5 mb, so around 120 or so.

about 120 mp3s or 240 wma (windows media) files. This isnt exact, thats assuming each track is about 4 minutes
