hmmm....
-if he has a car then decorate it with roses and other things and put sign on it that says SADIES? and hide behind it or something like that
-scavenger hunt (my bf did this for me around school and it was SO cute and fun) have clues to different places and then last one leads him to you and u either just ask him or hold a sign..
-or do a puzzle! (alwaysss fun) kinda like a scavenger hunt but with each clue give him a puzzle piece and then at the end when he puts it together have him lead it to u or to a certain place or something...
hope those help can't really think of anymore ideas oh...and im not really sure about the whole buying guys tickets =/ i think you could if you wanted to but dont feel like you have to!!

Yeah, the girl pays for the tickets and dinner, but you should really make sadies a fun thing! Don't bother with a fancy restaurant; go somewhere where you both can be comfortable and goof around a little. (Think Perkins, Baker Square, some little cafe downtown, etc). Some ways I have asked or had friends asked:
1. Make a cd with relient K's "Sadie Hawkins Dance" as the first track, the second track being you asking him, and the rest a mixture of songs you both like. Slip it into his car or cd player at home.
2. Make an ABC's book like "A is for applesauce, your favorite lunchtime treat. B is for Ben who introduced us, C is for Camel that we saw at the zoo, etc. and for S have it be S is for Sadies???
3. Ask him to play catch or something and write Sadies? on the ball so he sees it when you throw it to him
4. Bring him a coffee with Sadies? written on it in perm. marker.
5. Just ask him what he is doing on the date that the dance is. When he says "I dunno" or "nothing", say "Good. Now you are going to Sadies with me!"

Here are some ideas:
Scavenger hunt
Attach a note asking him to the dance to the end of a yarn ball, while twisting the ball around an area, leaving him to follow the string and lead him to the note
If he has a car, take one end off an Oreo cookie and stick the cream side on the windshield, spelling out a message asking him to Sadie's (refer to "The Singles Ward" movie)
Take pictures of yourself holding up signs that say "Will", "You" "Go"......etc and put them in an envelope. Stick them in his mailbox.
Find a simple fortune cookie recipe, and make your own "fortune" asking him to the dance
just some random ideas...........
I think that whoever does the asking, girl or boy, in whatever and event it may be, should pay, as a general rule.

You don't HAVE to pay for his ticket, but you should.
When I was in high school, and admittedly, this was a long time ago, I had a girlfriend who drove and we took turns showing up at our b/f's part time jobs and "kidnapping" them. We arranged it with their bosses and did it near the end of their shifts so we wouldn't be taking them away from their work for long. We were very silly about it. We brought them coursages and tiaras and made them wear them, lots of helium balloons and the girlfriend who drove would pick them up with the other girlfriends and would bring the b/f to the g/f's house. Some of us asked them and some had signs made up.
All of the guys, even one who wasn't dating the girl in question, said yes. As soon as we had an answer, and we agreed yes or no, they got to take off the coursage and tiara. They are guys afterall and we didn't want their buddies to see them like that.
