Texas is my team I love them. I rooted for them last year. I did back flips and went absolutely NUTS when Vince Young crossed the goal line on 4th and goal in the Rose Bowl. But this Texas team isn't going anywhere.

Look at every top team they've played this year with the exception of a win at Oklahoma State, LSU and Texas A&M they have lost a close game. I expect Texas to play good but lose a close game the first time they run into a team in the tourney with top 25 talent.

Holy Cow!

Look at all these responses, did anyone watch a Texas game this year??? Yes Durant is amazing, but Texas folds like cheap origami late in big games..... what's going to change in the big dance? They are what they are.... they're a good young team that hasn't learned how to win a big game down the stretch. Durant's gone after this season so they won't get a chance to get experienced and ever make a run in the dance, sad but true just like metallica

A lot of comparisions will be made, fairly and otherwise, between Durant and Carmelo Anthony circa 2003. I think Augustine has to be as good as Gerry McNamara was for Syracuse if Texas is going to have the same type of run. I also think the bracket gave Syracuse a break or two that year whereas Texas probably ends up a four seed in a field which will have solid one seeds. My guess is that Texas is a Sweet 16 team- Durant will play out of his mind.

I've been thinking that myself, but I feel it all comes down to depth. They can't win on Durant alone. I understand they have others, but they're not a number 1 seed for a reason. Of course, they could end up in a bad division of the confrence. If you check ESPN's Bracketology: http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/bracketology, then you will see what I mean. If it ends up like that, they can kiss their chances good bye with such teams in as Florida, Pitt, & Wisconson (who I feel is going to win). But say if they switched with any of the teams in the West, they would practically be a lock with the only experienced force being UCLA, who just had a major loss. So if i was Texas, I'd be hoping for a place like that.

they absolutely have a chance, but i think they will eventually run into trouble because of the fact that they start 4 freshmen, as talented as those guys might be...to win in the tournament with freshmen who've never been there is very difficult, and they will have to overcome that to make a deep run
