The best thing to do is layer your eye shadows. I have a similar problem I am very light in complexion and colors on me look like I have painted them on. Start with a light shade of blue, and then use a darker shade, or I go crazy and use a coordinating color and arc it over the first layer, so if I were to close my eyes it would be a sunset of three colors. Hope it helps

I agree with layering the colors. I would use a light neutral color on the inside of the lid, a lighter blue in the crease, and a little darker blue on the outside of the lid. (I do a "swoop" from lash line to above the crease with the darkest color, then blend) Try a color like Mary Kay Blue Moon. Good Luck!

dont listen to any of these people. first off if applyed right it does not look tacky. second if you start layering colors especially with blue thats when it looks tacky. try this. apply the color from side to side but only on the lid just a little then the only layering you should do is with an off white over the rest of your eye. when useing blue its best to go light
