NO FLAMERS PLEASE!

I was reading through some reviews on IMDB of the Sundance movie Zoo, and of course getting lots of idiots going "OMG EWWW!" instead of actually talking about the movie. But someone mentioned that anyone having sex with an animal was raping it. But a girl sits on the floor and a male dog comes up and mounts her, how is that animal rape? It's not hard to provoke an unaltered male dog to mount something, I work with dogs all day, it can be a problem. The dog seems to be all for it, how is that rape?

I point out now that I am not interested in practicing anything like this, I just want to make a point...

I heard the term "animal rape" being used on the IMDB boards, so that's what I used for lack of a better term.

Also, flamers are those who come to boards for the sole purpose of ripping on the original poster or those who post afterwards.

You make an obvious and valid point. Human stupidity and sexual hangup though would suggest just because a large dog armed with claws and teeth wants to shag you, it is no excuse for you letting it.

Sensible? Of course not - but that is no reason not to churn out another useless law is it.

Mark

ps: I find it hilarious that the concept of a dog forcing itself on a woman and shagging her is "exploitation of the animal" !! where do these nitwits find their brains?

In my experience, one does not make laws against things people are not doing. So the Biblical prohibitions were clearly suppression of others, sort of along the lines of "Kill a Commie for Christ."

The dog is the first domesticated animal by tens of thousands of years according to scientific anthropological records. Psychology researchers say dogs place themselves within the human family and do not distinguish between human and canine members of the "pack."

These arguments against human and dog coupling is nothing more than attempts by religious groups to force its ideas on others, as they did in the past about Black-White marriages, now with same sex marriages, oral sex, sodomy and any of the other silly ideas they have of what is moral or not.

And to greecevaca, any woman who has entered into a loving relationship with her male canine does know better, that is why she continues.

Darn good point! BUT why would a woman be around a dog without proper undergarments, or even pants? Plus penetration is not likely if she tries to escape.

I guess the reasoning is that the dog isn't aware of the potential consequences (exactly what those are I have no idea), and the girl is. I'd call it statutory animal rape.

I do not know where you heard the term animal rape. Rape is a form of violent expression ergo what is happening is not rape. It is however some sexually deviant human being's answer to fulfill some perverted fantasy. Also What in the world is a flamer?

Let's face it, it may not be rape, but it is definitely exploitation of the animal and teaches it behaviour that could get it hurt in the future.

It is considered rape because while the animal doesn't know it is wrong the human that it is with does and can better control the situation.
