Yes and yes, or at least it's strongly implied. I watched it with my husband, asked him if it was possible to bleed to death that way. He seems to believe pretty strongly that yes, and it would be one of the worst ways to die. I just don't see how she could stand to touch him at all.

Yes on both counts. I almost recommended this movie as a romantic film, but couldn't bring myself to do it.

Yes, to both questions. That was about one of the goriest movies I've ever seen.
