don't wait. the "early results" tests can tell you the results even 5 days before the expected periods; if you already missed the period - do the test.

The early pregnancy test kits are not always accurate for everyone (and they say so on the box) until you've missed your period by at least a day so you can't be sure they will give you a definitive answer. However, if your periods are regular you can take a test already a day or two after you've missed your period.

You can take a test the day you miss your period, and many tests can be taken up to 5 days earlier

as early as 5 days before a missed period to two wks after a missed period, and if you still get results that you think are not true, or if it's positive confirm it with a dr.! Goodluck!

I did mine before I missed my period (on a hunch) and it came back positive almost immediately, so don't wait.
