I'm guessing that you were typing that you were a virgin, but got cut off.
Some people (teens) are in such a hurry to grow up and experience what only adults should experience that they throw away the one thing that they should hold onto. Good for you for holding out. Stick to that commitment.

Maybe losing it during a hookup isn't the way to go, but I don't believe in waiting till you're married, either. My husband and I had each slept with the same number of people when we got together, although his was only once with each girl while I'd had a long term boyfriend so obviously had done it a lot more often. We had each only been with 2 people, which I think is respectable. I'm glad we both experienced things not with each other, and truthfully, I wish he had learned a little more before we got married. If you aren't sexually compatible but you don't find this out until after you're married, you're stuck with an unhappy, unfulfilling sex life for the rest of your life. No, sleeping with random people isn't the way to go, but sex before marriage isn't a bad thing.

Probably it is easier to make mistakes when you are young and regard sex as a purely pleasurable experience without emotional or psychological consequences. The increased freedom of young people makes it easy to do what they want without regard to consequences they cannot forsee or understand.
If you want sex with your soulmate to be special it should be something other than just a pleasure that you have shared with dozens of others but who looks that far ahead when they are teenagers?
Obviously you do and you should be congratulated for that, everbody else has to try to repair the scars as best they can.

I can just picture this...two idiots in bed, neither of them knowing what to do, when to do it, or how to please eachother...does not sound like my cup of tea. Where in the world was all this "value" placed on Virginity? IT is a losing proposition. IF you insist on being a virgin, then you are going to expect the same from your other half...that is a silly criterion to place on who you date...you certainly will greatly limit your playing field. Better you than me.

Yeah, i totally agree with you. Just think, if people have sex so often, they will end up having AIDS. So why not, wait for the special someone when it will be worth the wait?!!

this is insanity. how will you really want to be happy with a virgin for a wife or husband, infact it so crazy, because you will both end up uncivilize couple in bed because you will not even know what to do at the right time and at the right place.

Probably hormones, lust, selfishness. Wanting to "do it". Feeling pressured by peers to "do it" It' is best to wait until marriage.
