OK.

The immigrant population in the early 1970's was at around 370,000 a year. At this rate of growth the birth to death rate pretty much leveled off. Inflation was slow, unemployment was way down and job oppertunity was vast.

In the late 70's we increased the immigration limit to about 1,000,000. At this rate we are surpassing our newborn to death ration and are growing exponentially. At this rate, California would have to build one school a day to keep up with the population rise in children.

Lets take a look at the big picture....

We accept 1,000,000 into the US. Meanwhile, more than 50 million takes their place in the rest of the world. Every year this happens. Are we really helping the rest of the world or sealing our fate to failure to overpopulation?

We need to reduce the ammount of immigrants comming into the United States. Plain and simple.

every person who is here for a job (that needs to be filled) could have been here legally if we had a system that provided laws for it. Congress has been ignoring the issue for 20 years and they should do something about it. undocumented immigrants are the symptom of the larger problem

No, it is an unfair burden on the rest of society. Just look at California. Most of their prison population is illegal alien, and they are closing hospitals they can't afford to treat them. But, our government will give them amnesty. Anything for cheap labor, and a vote. Vote them out.

No.

The reason because amnesty has been tried twice before that only resulted in increased numbers of illegals. When you give amnesty to illegals it only promotes others an incentive to come here illegally.

Let's phrase that in a different way and see if you can answer it yourself. Should someone who has been robbing banks for three years without getting caught be given a key to the vault?

No they should not. They violated our laws thereby showing disrespect for our country. Why should we change our policies to give them amnesty? They should be given a ride to the border and sent home.......

Qualified undocumented immigrants must be given amnesty so that their income will be taxed properly as a contribution to the government rather than the abusive employers to benefit from their low salaries.
