UN was formed, Israel was declared a state, Germany became east and west, NATO and Warsaw Pact countries created the "Iron curtain". Jet technology was utilized across the board, Korean War, Japan was relegated to only having a "police force" instead of a military. McCarthyism and overblown fear of communists in America, Nuremburg trials, and there are quite abit more if you look closely
Oh yes, I saw someone mention the sports stuff, and the corvette came out in 53.
