What you describe sounds like military blankets. Have you tried an Army-Navy surplus store or site? I'd try those first. If that doesn't work then I'd call the jails and prisons in your area and ask for purchasing to find out what they do with them when they replace them. Some of the Uniform rental suppliers may also be able to help. Good luck.

Hmmm ... try calling any 'homeless shelters' near where you live and asking them to 'share their source' of these 'grey blankets' ... but you should also send them a 'nice big donation' after your call, because the homeless do 'need help' and giving to a homeless shelter is the best way to do this. But really ... I've seen LOTS of those blankets being carried around by homeless people, so I'm sure that a 'homeless shelter' is a good place to call to find out where you can get the blankets you want.

Man we have those same blankets in the U.S. I hate 'em. Check the police station and ask them.

Yes... they're wool blankest and they're also what the military uses. You can bet 'em at the Army/Navy Surplus store.
