Just curious moms and dads of 9 month olds...how much sleep does your baby get? What is your daily routine like? I'm a first time mom and just curious what other parents do with their day!

Always remember sleep begets sleep. The earlier you put her down the more she will sleep.

At that age she should be sleeping about 12-14 hours.

She should go to bed between 6:30-7:30 pm. NO later.
She'll be up at 7:00 am I bet you.

My 8 month old sleeps from 8:30 PM to 5:00 AM in his crib in his room. He wakes up at 5, nurses for a few minutes and then falls asleep in my bed next to me until 7.

His daily routine is not consistant (we're always out doing things and 3 days a week he's with my sister all day. Sometimes he takes three 2 hour naps, sometimes he takes a bunch of 30-45 minute naps during the day, then there is the rare occasion where he sleeps for 3 hours from like 12-3! I have to say that we're out and about a lot and most of the time he just sleeps in the car in between errands.

When mine was 9 months, here was our day:

6:30am wake up, medication
7:30am breakfast (baby cereal with fruit)
10:00am bottle
10:30ish nap (about an hour)
12:00 lunch (usually ground foods, some soft bites)
2:00 bottle
2:30ish nap
3:30 a little snack (gerber puffs or baby yogurt)
5:00 dinner
7:00 bath, sleeper
7:30 bottle with cereal in it, story, cuddle time
8:00 bedtime (put down awake, falls asleep on her own)

she slept around 12 hours per day. sometimes more if her naps went well.
She stays with her grandma while I work, but they play games and things. NO tv at all at this age, expect for a baby Einstein DVD every now and then.

Every baby is different. My daughter was sleeping through the night at nine months, with an hour nap in the afternoon. My triplets are four months, and each has his own schedule, which is really tough!
