I have been using pledge hardwood cleaner, but it looks dull after I clean it.

my mom uses murphy's oil soap-she really swears by it

You can buy a product called Neutral from a janitorial supply store it is concentrated so you use one ounce to a full pail of water hand wash for best clean and be sure your rag is wrung out well and have a dry rag to dry right away it gives it a nice shine and is also a disinfectant.. it can also be diluted in a spray bottle and be used for dusting and bathrooms

The best thing to use is a mixture of white vinegar and water. If your floor is looking really dull you may need to have it resealed or refinished.

I use warm water with a little methylated spirits. Gives it a great shine and removes static so you collect less dust.
