Shouldn't they have at least a chance to study before hand, or at the very least to have it open note and open book?

It's really dog-eat-dog out there, a world full of rats and snakes, no time for monkeying around. You've got to grab the bull by the horns, and if you fall, you have to get right back on the horse again. You can't afford to be cowed into being one of the sheep.
The animals need to learn that in school before they enter the workforce.

Well that brings up another question about the ethics of the entire industry.
If an ape apes another ape on a test, is that cheating?

It is on house pet type animals but on rats and mice I dont have a problem.

no.many vaccines have been made and cured many illnesses.insulin was first tested on monkeys.so I'm pro animal testing.
would you rather have someone test on you? no i don't think so.

Yeah I had to pay for my dogs resit. Why does a dog even need to know calculus.

I don't think animals should be hurt or made to suffer...just thinking about it makes me feel sick.

Hell Yes its wrong. they should use dead animals in stead of live animals.
