I'm going to a party with my boyfriend next weekend, and I'm planning to wear a black evening gown with the midriff cut out (I swear, it looks exactly like the one in the Academy Awards section of Y! Avatars), and my parents are griping because they think it's too mature for a 16 year-old girl. It doesn't really show anything, so I don't see anything wrong with it. What do you think?

It appears that I have to repeat something from above: The dress in question looks EXACTLY like the black midriff cut evening dress that you can find in the Academy Awards sections of the Apperal for Y! Avatars. I looks almost exactly the same as my avatar.

I would have 2 see the dress 2 answer your question correctly.
Talk it out with your parents, get some reasonings. Trust me my dad is like your parents he doesn't want anything 2 be too mature or show anything.Good Luck! Best of wishes! Have fun and enjoy the party!
