Cage size isn't as important as the amount of time they will be spending outside of it. Ferrets need at least 4-5 hours of playtime daily. Get the largest cage you can afford and have space for. Stay away from Superpet cages as they are very difficult to clean. You can't even fit their own litterboxes through the door, lol.

I HIGHLY recommend a Ferret Nation cage!!! I've had one of the largest superpet cages and a home-made cage. But the FN beats them all. A one level is good for 1-3 ferrets. Two story for up to 5 or 6. And the 3 story you need a ladder to reach, lol.

The cages size has nothing to do with your needs...it is for the ferrets needs. I recommend a 3-4 level cage for 1-2 ferrets. More than 2 ferrets you would need 5-7 level cage. Expect to spend between 120-250 dollars on a good quality cage. Try http://www.ferretdepot.com They have a cages that will fit your ferrets needs.

That also depends on how often they will be in their cage. If they will be in there most of the time then it should be large (3' x 3') minimum. It can be smaller if you will be letting them out a lot. My sister has a bunk bed without the bottom bunk and used the whole area underneath as the ferret cage.

There is no specific size that it must be, but consider the ferret. a small restricted cage would be cruel, they need to be able to move around exercise etc, the biggest one you can fit into your room is the best, with lots of things in it to play with. if you need it to be small, make it taller, with three levels etc. Ferrets can be trained to use litter boxes, why not let him have the run of your room and use a smaller cage at night for it to sleep in.
