Well, they're all lying to get elected, that much is for sure. I guess you have to try to figure out what they really stand for. There's no way to be 100% sure. Traditionally, Republicans are for smaller government and less spending. Recent history doesn't seem to support that viewpoint, however, since the Republican controlled congress created the largest federal deficit. It seems like lately, at least at the federal level, the Republicans are beholden to multinational corporations rather than the citizens they supposedly represent. That's just one person's opinion.

Voting is a very personal choice. I try not to vote based solely on party association but I do find myself leaning toward the democratic views on a lot of issues but, then there are some republican issues I identify with also. When it's election time, everyone is on their soap box shouting as loud as they can to get your vote. It's difficult to decide if you depend entirely upon the news media and commercials. EVERYONE has their own agenda...EVERYONE-TV networks, news anchors, radio, etc. With the internet and the availability of credible information, I suggest you do some investigating on your own. Just about all the candidates have web pages plus you can always check out the democratic and republican party's home page to find out who you identify with. Regardless of who you decide to back in the election, it will be another interesting election and I look forward to seeing it play out! Good Luck in your quest!

Not a damn thing behind closed doors they support the same agendas, and platforms. In the public they say things just to keep the masses divided, really they are one and the same, as soon as the ppl wake up and realize it the better off the US would be but that will never happen because most of us r to ignorant to see what's really going on.

Democrats believe in abortion, more federal gov't , socialism, feminism, and any other ism as long as it is not connected to Christianity in any way. Republicans believe in the exact opposite of what the democrats do, but they have no backbone to stand for their beliefs. We dont have much of a choice, choose the lesser evil.

Yes, most of them really believe in something. But don't vote because the Supreme Court won't let them stand up for what they believe in.

They're all just lying. Ron Paul has an interesting platform, though.
